Gap Fee
The gap price remains the same for any consult – standard,
long or extra long.
The patient pays the difference between Pioneer Health fee
and the Medicare rebate fee, including a small administration
fee. Medicare forwards the patient a cheque for the rebate
fee, which the patient then forwards to us. Please note: the
outstanding balance remains your responsibility until we receive
the cheque. |
Annual Gap Fee
The AGF represents a once a year gap payment by the patient,
towards their healthcare at Pioneer Health Albany. In return
we will bulk bill all your consults at Pioneer Health Albany
for the following 12 months.
The Annual Gap Fee does not include;
- hospital consults
- medical reports and occupational medicals
- workers compensation
- travel vaccines and non-schedule vaccines
- facility fee
Please note the AGF is not transferable to another patient.

Prescriptions
Pioneer Health Albany prefer all our patients to make a short
appointment for repeat prescriptions. If this consult is kept
to a script only you will be bulk billed directly to Medicare.
If other concerns are discussed during the consult the doctor
has the option of charging you a fee. |
Facility Fee
The facility fee is to cover the cost of consumables, instrument
sterilizing and dressings for all lesion removals and minor
procedures. The $30.00 fee will be payable when you have the
stitches are removed.

Payment of
Fees
The Doctors at Pioneer Health Albany are now bulk billing all
children under 16 years of age. We
are not a regular bulk billing practice and payment is required
for consultations on the day of service. You may pay using
Cash, Cheque, EFTPOS or Credit Card. Gap payment is accepted,
Reception staff will process your claim and forward it to Medicare.
They will send you the cheque for the outstanding amount and
this must forward this to the Doctor immediately.
If you are experiencing financial difficulty please speak to
your Doctor about payment.
If you have a complaint, or any feedback regarding our service,
please feel free to ask to speak to the Practice Manager or
your Doctor. |
